Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an Entry-level Data Analyst on a contract opportunity in Long Beach, CA.



Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing corporate location data for the purpose of improving Point of Interest database for car navigation system. This engineering position is required to compare data from two different Points-of-Interest database (POI-DB) utilizing SQL Server.

This position requires to conduct following tasks:


import, export and validate various data sources; conduct analysis, comparison and integration of multiple data source versions; generate sets of rules as outcome of analysis for improvement; conduct data verification through Websites and/or phone verifications to ensure rule and data integrity; generate reports and documentations to support the outcome of the improvements.


Requirements:

* BS in Business Administration, MIS, Computer Science, or related field

* 0-3 years of work experience

* Database experience preferred (SQL or Access)

* Must be able to provide accurate documentation of the analysis and operation of software components.

* Must be proficient with MS Office (especially MS Excel)

* Organization skills, attention to details, self sufficiency, analytical thinking and focus on quality are required.

* Extensive work volume and schedule is expected during the release period to ensure timely delivery


Work hours will be M-F, 9:00AM-6:00PM
