Interactive Designer, Fashion/E-Commerce

Fortune 500 company specializing in apparel / merchandising brands seeks Interactive Designers for Los Angeles (mid-Wilshire) location.

Position Description:

We’re looking for interactive designers with 5 -7 years experience at mid and senior levels to work on major lifestyle/ecommerce websites to manage the brand's online marketing and creative concepts.

Ideal candidates will have experience at other top online retailers or agencies with major high-profile fashion retail brands /projects; have extensive internet design and ecommerce experience as well as being fluent in Flash, DHTML and standard interactive design software.

Must have the ability to push the envelope from a creative/conceptual standpoint and have a phenomenal design portfolio to back it up. You will be working alongside editors, producers, photographers, cinematographers, and directors to come up with concepts and execute designs to make company's brands the coolest on the net.

Manage projects and budgets from concept to completion within the allotted timeframes and aggressive deadlines. Prior experience working in a fast paced corporate environment is a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Design and produce captivating, rich interactive experiences for Branded sites
using brand specific templates and a variety of media tools.

· Translate/interpret product descriptions and produce original online content

· Work collaboratively with marketing colleagues, IT, and stakeholders (Brand Presidents, Brand Apparel Designers and Merchandisers) to capture design requirements and translate them into practical design solutions

· Utilize content management system and publishing tools to develop and promote digital content

· Assist in documentation of design processes and deliverables

· Support VP Online and SVP Marketing and their management staffs on a variety of projects

Qualifications:

· Five plus years online content creation and publishing experience in creative services or marketing organization (design, agency, technical marketing assistant, etc.)
· Demonstrated design portfolio with projects focused on web and graphic production
· Expert proficiency with Flash and DHTML and familiarity with publishing video
· High level of motivation to produce superior design work
· Ability to make tradeoffs between time constraints, media types and technology tools
· Exceptional attention to detail, creativity, and entrepreneurship
· Comfortable working with enterprise-level content management systems and tools
· Superior project management and communication skills, strong initiative, proven experience meeting deadlines, and the ability to work with all levels of staff
· Applicants should be committed to a customer service and team-oriented work environment.
· Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Word and Excel
· Ability to work under pressure in an environment of shifting priorities and change

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Web Design
· Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required
knowledge, skills, and abilities
