INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST IV
ASP.NET WEB APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIVISION
$37.67 - $47.44 per

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Under the supervision of the e-Services Supervisor, within the Information Technology department, assists in the administration, maintenance, and development of web-based applications of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Division. Provides customer support for approximately 50 users of custom applications developed in-house using Microsoft Visual Studio.

Performs highly specialized programming as part of development and maintenance of web-based applications. Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions in addition to generating scheduled and ad-hoc reports to management and staff. Responds to user questions in a friendly and positive manner. Assists with user training sessions as related to use of systems. Performs other related duties as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential job function.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or related training or experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field. Two years working experience of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is required. Two years programming experience in ASP.NET/VB.NET (Web applications, Web services, Windows applications), TSQL (Stored Procedures, Functions etc) is required. Experience in working with third party tools such as Infragistics NetAdvantage Suite, Data Dynamics ActiveReports and Aspose PDF Kit is highly desirable.

Must possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Must have strong user-customer support skills, and ability to operate comfortably and flexibly in a dynamic environment. Enthusiasm for promoting good customer service and user support is critical. Must be a self-starter, innovative, creative, and well organized.

Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record is required.

Division management will establish and implement screening criteria to comparatively and fairly evaluate the qualifications of all applicants, based on the application materials submitted and the needs of the Division. Only those applicants, whose qualifications most closely meet the needs of the Division, will be invited for an interview appraisal and software skills test.
