Jenny was a leftover from the Best Friends Adoption event. If she wasn't adopted that day (which she wasn't), she was going back to the shelter where she was going to be put down. She was neglected, starved, dehydrated and had developed pneumonia. Molly's Mutts & & Meows saved Jenny from the Downey shelter and welcomed her into our rescue.Molly's Mutts & & Meows and the vets didn't think she was going to make it, but she did. Jenny was a fighter and we fought with her. Once Jenny started to feel better, we knew she had other health issues to deal with. Jenny couldn't walk.Molly's Mutts & & Meows stepped in: We have taken Jenny for further evaluations from the vet specialist at California Animal Hospital. The wonderful doctors needed to run some tests to diagnose Jenny's problem. She had an MRI and along with some other tests. The results showed that she has Caudal Occipital Malformation Syndrome caused by Syringohydromyelia (curvature of the spine & & fluid on her spine) and Hydrocephalus (fluid pockets on her brain.)She is on medication to help control the symptoms of her condition (currently only two different kinds) and her foster mom says she's very easy to care for. Jenny's Future: Jenny is between nine and 10 years old; she could still live a full life. She has a happy disposition and is fairly healthy other than her neurological problems. She's also tiny, only five pounds. She's completely housebroken!!! She will break your heart and fill it will with love all within minutes. We know that for dogs like Jenny, finding a home is a long shot, but we have to try. Jenny deserves that chance. If you are interested in adopting her, please call 310-837-MUTT or go to our Web site to fill out an application. www.mollysmuttsandmeows.org If you can offer that special, loving and compassionate home to care for this sweet girl, we'd love to meet you.
