Project/Construction Manager


What you will be doing:

* Manage school/education projects to include scope and budget development.

* Oversight on design phase, assistance w/bidding process, & mgt of construction

* Quality control site visits

* Coordination of proj admin docs (RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, etc.)

* Preparation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.

* Development of preliminary studies, cost estimates, and contract documents;

* Monitoring project progress to ensure projects stay on time and in budget;

* Review and validation of invoices;

* Review of contract amendments and change orders; provide corrective measures;

* Coordination and supervision of the work of outside consultants;

* Review contract drawings, ensure professional designs & economic concept

* Construction site visits and monitoring of Contractual work.

* Evaluate, coordinate & resolve legal, political & regulatory issues related to project

* Procurement & mgt of prof services & construction contracts for project dev


What you will need:

* A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related fields;

* Registration as a professional engineer or Architect - Preferred.

* 5+ years of increasingly responsible project engineering/project mgt experience,

* Experience w/scope & work program development; dev of project funding;

* Experience with Budget/schedule dev & m coordination of teams.

* Exp construction cost estimating, engineering designs, specification writing.

* Ability to coordinate & manage multi-discipline engineering teams & consultants

* Experience in phasing & scheduling of engineering and construction projects.

* Familiarity w/mgt concepts & ability to apply/supervise team of professionals

* Effective negotiating, consensus building & problem solving skills and experience.

* Easy access to Los Angeles, Orange County
