The paint & Body is a knockout , the body was blocked numerous times, painted, then sanded again and Base Coat Clearcoat was added. The car was then wet sanded & buffed to a slick finish.
The 289 Motor was built to HIPO Shelby Specs. to 306Hp and built for the Supercharger to add another 100Hp. It was bored .30 over with forged pistons, solid cam & lifters.
The motor has an original 66 Shelby paxton Supercharger with cobra intake, not a reproduction, The original Shelby supercharger Serial #'s Start with the letter C or an S, this one starts with a C, Repro's only have #'s in there ID #. i have paperwork stateing this information.
Inside the Cobra intake is a 750 Blow Through Demon Carburator that works great with the Paxton.
The Transmission is a 4-Speed Top Loader which ws completely rebuilt, it has a Hurst Shifter.
The Rear is a 9" Posi w/3:70 Auburn gears, the front suspension is all new with a 1" sway Bar , The A-Arms are drilled and the front end lowered just as the Shelby Cars were.
Everything on this car was done Shelby including, seat belts, traction bars, Tach, windows, suspension, motor,wheels, exc. you name it and it was done. This car handles great and is a blast to drive (FAST). The car has only 62 miles since restored and the speedometer was replaced with a new one reading 0 miles when the car was completed. The original speedometer shows the car having 81,820 miles when restored.
The Undercarriage is just as nice and Detailed as the engine compartment and the outside of the car, it is finished in red oxide and the suspension is nicely detailed as well black and gray.
The car is all Factory metal including ,floor pans, Frame rails, torque boxes(NICE), exc. Everything else is new underneath , Gas tank, springs, shocks, and so forth.
The Brakes on the car are Disc in the front and drums in the rear , just as the Shelbys were and are all new, Of coarse there is no power brakes or steering as the original Shelby did not come with it, but i assure you this light car steers and stops great.
