We are looking for a commercial loan underwriter with skills in special assets and workouts.


What you will be doing:


Work with a portfolio of non-performing or under performing commercial loans

Negotiating loan collection or restructuring/overseeing litigation, liquidation or charge off of loan

Work with loan officers to manage borrowing relationship and participate in loan watch list preparation and review

Works with vendors to collect rents, liquidate assets and recover bank's assets

Structure, develop and monitor an effective marketing program to liquidate assigned accounts

Implement and maintain an efficient property management program for REO projects

Maintain familiarity with the marketplace and maintain good relations with the broker community so as to provide for the maximum sale and income for Bank owned properties

Provide management with complete analysis and recommend solutions on issues of major impact

Inform the Bank's legal counsel, senior management and both internal and external auditors of the status of various projects, including litigation prospects


What you need:


Five or more years of experience in a similar role at a community bank

Familiarity with local commercial real estate market

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to analyze financial plans

Must exhibit a strong understanding of commercial lending and loan workouts

Experience as a commercial lender a plus

Knowledge of asset liquidation

Well developed negotiating skills
