Location: Greater Los Angeles CA Area


We are a Special Investigation Unit for multiple health plans. We identify fraud, waste and abuse through data analysis, preparing documentation and reporting our findings to contracted health plans.


We are Looking for the following:

- Claims Investigator, Medical Record Review, Research and Documentation


Skills:

- Proficiency in excel, access and word.

- Ability to manipulate data to identify patterns (data lead).

- Determination to follow a data lead through to a cause (analytical).

- Self starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Proficiency in writing your data findings into word form.

- Ability to verbally relate findings to client's upper level management.

- Excellent research and documentation skills to document findings with applicable laws.

- Understand claims adjudication and provider contract fee schedule.

- Understand various provider specialty and facility types and their applicable billing methodology.

- Strong mathematical skills


Education/Experience requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or 4 years experience in accounting, finance, investigative, statistics, or similar field. Advanced medical billing or coding experience, preferably certified.

Experience deciphering hand written medical records.
